From low voltage (600V-2kV) cables at the solar modules to combiner boxes, to the medium voltage (15kV, 25kV, and 35kV) cables connecting to the inverters and interconnect/distribution systems, AED incorporates these cables, and other components, in the all encompassing design for total system requirements.
All cables are designed and customized by another AED affiliation, RERC, in accordance to specific customer requirements. Highly engineered specifications developed by RERC include cables with characteristics such as: sustainable function at extremely cold/hot temperatures; increased flexibility; and highly mechanical, chemical and flame resistance.
AED is a total solution provider of UL4703 solar electrical cables suitable for use in solar power applications, exposed or concealed wiring in wet or dry locations, direct burial when used as USE-2 conductors. The construction of the UL4703 cable is manufactured using stranded copper conductors with single layer XLP insulation, bare or tinned copper, temperature rating of -40°C to +90°C, sunlight resistant and RoHS Compliant.
Our sister company, WTEC, is one of the largest UL Certified Harness facilities (E319420) providing bulk cable, cable assemblies, and cable harnesses to Renewable Energy Industry OEM manufacturers.
